All these events seem a lifetime ago, and they are.

But facing political and financial uncertainty maybe not that far away after-all. Yet despite all these monumental events about to become part of history, Pat Brereton founded Pats Garage in Lyndhurst along the Romsey Road, where it still operates from today.

In 1939 cars were somewhat different in design, features and reliability, but nobody could have envisaged what dramatic growth in vehicle sales would follow.

Pats Garage has continued to serve motorists within the surrounding Hampshire communities and has continued to prosper in good times and bad.

Understanding clearly the importance of looking after customers the right and proper way became integral to the Pats Garage teams and exceptional customer service became the bedrock of the company.

An Opel dealer since 1970, Pats Garage took on the Vauxhall brand in 1981 when they merged under the ownership of General Motors.

Vauxhall-Opel became a success story in the 1980's with leading engine design and stylish vehicles. Pats Garage, supported by its loyal customer base, embraced the new Franchise partnership and continued to develop its business winning recognition for its investment in people as well as technology. 

Same old exceptional customer service - Pats Garage continued to invest in the buisiness, premises and people and has earned an enviable reputation for looking after their customers as if they were their friends.
